Mead Johnson Nutrition introduced Enfamil Lipil in 2002. Available as a powder, liquid concentrate or ready to feed formula, this new formula contains DHA and ARA, nutrients found in breast milk. These essential nutrients have been proven to be important for the development of babies brain and eyes. Prior to March 2002 there was no infants formula in the United States that had DHA and ARA. Formula Lipil has been clinically proven to result in IQ scores similar to those of infants who were breast fed. When choosing a formula for baby, Enfamil Lipil is patterned after breast milk and is currently the closest formula to breast milk.
